You've asked for it, and it's here! Command E now helps you quickly find and open all of your files and folders right on your computer. 💯
Command E supports finding and opening local files from the following user folders, and all of their subfolders
You can also customize the list of folders that can be searched - visit the Search Directories page under Settings (gear icon in upper right on our main search screen).
To enable local file searching:
- Go to "Preferences" in Command E (under the gear icon in the top right)
- Click the checkbox next to "Enable local file search"
- If you're on a Mac, you'll be prompted to confirm access permissions for required folders
- And you're done. 🙌
